Affin's market price will align to the price LTAT will sell to Sarawak. Based on leaked documents the price was agreed as 2.40 back in December but new Defence Minister isn't happy with such low price. Possibly now is either Sarawak pays 2.60 or the deal is not going to be approved. 08/03/2024 12:23 AM rohank71 article clearly says LTAT will be 2nd largest shareholder, so it's confirmed Swak will be No.1. If LTAT remains No.2 shareholder to ride the upside, it means price will fly much higher before they make more money. 08/03/2024 12:23 AM prince4 semenanjung tentera wang dan malaysia tentera askar wang dan pencen wang semua di AFFIN BANK LEMBAGA TABUNG ANGKATAN TENTERA mana boleh jual tak akan jual kepada sarawak tak akan control by sarawak 08/03/2024 11:04 AM damiel MAYBANK ,PBBANK,HONG LEONG , ALLIANCE ,CIMB pun tak suka pinjam wang kepada sarawak sarawak people sebab sana jauh dan tak bangun masih kampung kampung .... 08/03/2024 11:08 AM damiel SARAWAK want development need one owns bank ...SARAWAK NEED ONE BANK to lending money to sarawak people to buy house buy car ,ding business 08/03/2024 11:10 AM TheContrarian Sarawak obviously want to control Affin but it's not certain yet whether Sarawak will emerge as largest single shareholder. The percentage to be sold may be less than the speculated 25%. 08/03/2024 11:13 AM TheContrarian Industry sources told StarBiz the demand for sale of AmBank’s shares have been overwhelming as the upsize portion of the shares (7.5%) have been fully sold in view of the quality of the bank and its good potential going forward. “Around 80% to 85% of the buyers are Malaysian “long only funds” like institutions like pension funds, insurance companies etc. The remaining are primarily Asian funds, followed by funds from Europe and the United States,” the source added. 08/03/2024 11:14 AM prince4 sarawak buy affin below 5% .. in talk to buy AFFIN all biggest controlling stakes .... but important malaysia all ARMY money in AFFIN ...CENTRAL GOVT call LTAT DON'T SELL to BORNEO 08/03/2024 11:16 AM rohank71 for anyone to buy more than 5% of Ambank need BNM approval. so as want Contarian said and reported by Star its bought by public institutions. no one will emerge as substantial shareholder with more than 5%. that's why ANZ can't sell Ambank to Swak coz the process will require BNM. ANZ sell in market to institution is faster. 08/03/2024 12:13 PM ling rohank71 who want buy affin bank also need BNM approval lah wait 1 YEARS LAH ...BNM already approval ANZ to sell ambank huhu 08/03/2024 12:17 PM ling ANZ in a statement said it has sell 16.5% of the issued capital in AmBank via a block trade 08/03/2024 12:23 PM rohank71 #ling you are right and Swak and LTAT as announced by Abang Jo has already written to BNM for approval. Hence the delay. 08/03/2024 12:35 PM rohank71 For sale U don't need approval of BNM unless U sell to a party who will end up with more than 5% 08/03/2024 12:36 PM TheContrarian Last Tuesday, Khaled told the Dewan Rakyat that he personally did not have any issues with the restructuring plan of LTAT. However, the minister made it clear that specific proposals involving the restructuring of the business model and management of shareholdings, including the sale of assets and disposal of shares in several strategic companies, needed careful consideration. “We are seeking a win-win situation, where the LTAT strategic plan will not adversely affect the companies, and the shareholdings of LTAT in its subsidiaries can be maintained at a level that allows it to retain control,” Khaled was quoted by the media as saying. 13/03/2024 12:31 AM TheContrarian Sold BIMB at 2.61 this morning for 15% gain, bought back a bit of Affin at 2.50. 13/03/2024 5:07 PM Bursino Affin NTA now 4.73, I assumed no creative accounting in its books. I think it can stand on its own at 0.7x book value, ie 3.31. The pending Sarawak deal may actually be hindering its "true market price" Interested parties may be putting the hand brakes on the price's upward movement. 18/03/2024 9:17 PM TheContrarian Apparently EPF has ceased selling. There has been buying support at around 2.50 to absorb the selling. 18/03/2024 9:24 PM rohank71 2.50 well absorbed all sellers. Next is to stay at 2.55 and break 2.60 to confirm a steady uptrend to a 3.20 takeover. 19/03/2024 1:10 PM aklobi Ok let's have a look what's going on in here 0. 0. Oops still the same hype, maybe come back later.. 22/03/2024 2:08 AM speakup Abang jo is smart! Buy cheap to save money for sarawak cos he know LTAT is desperate for cash 22/03/2024 7:49 AM LubeTrader Once the dust has settled, price will appreciate. Similar to REXIT share sale and appointment of new board members 23/03/2024 10:24 AM TheContrarian I thought Sarawak purchase of Affin from LTAT was a done and dusted deal. Why BNM still not approve? 24/03/2024 6:04 PM LubeTrader Obviously BNM dragging its feet because the offered price is too low. I'm sure many of you have noticed by now, Affin's head honchos are buying their own company's share. It's not uncommon I know but acquiring now? What does this indicate? Interesting nobody is talking about it. 28/03/2024 2:01 PM TheContrarian The head honchos got the shares at cheap, cheap price of RM1.86, who doesn't want? 28/03/2024 2:46 PM | |
