RSawit is losing money. EBIT is negative; has been for many years. CL >>>CA. Surprisingly, the creditors and bankers have been very "kind" to this company.
Even with disposal of assets and bank loans are settled, the outcome is just a smaller plantation company that continues to be poorly managed and still losing money.

Mr. Tan, a major shareholder and director was buying the shares of his company at regular intervals for many months. Throughout the period of his buying, the price of APM remained low, in the undervalued range. You need a lot of patience to hold this undervalued counter awaiting its repricing.
Slowly before 2008, its price crept up. In 2008 GFC its price dropped in tandem with the drop in the share market. Mr. Tan did not sell. A couple or more years later, APM’s share price was much higher. Mr. Tan stopped buying and turned seller of his own company’s shares.

value_investCurrently Only Jtiasa is turning around financially, operationally and printing money. Rsawit, Debts few hundred million, palm trees NOT good, companies still burning money for new plantings which will take another 6 to 7 yrs to yield, Debt gearing is expecting to go up further for expansion as almost no cash at bank now, LEGAL case sued by LDHN 58 millions.... That why they need to sell land to survive, need time, 6 to 7 or 10 yrs to turn around... Results will be in RED for many yrs to come...

If all these misgivings are true as stated then Direictors/ Insiders of Rsawit should be dumping all their shares and "ceased to be substantial" shareholders.
On the contrary their buying shows a different picture
In investing we must see beyond the "obvious" which the 95% loser also know
That is why we must think as contrarian

JeffbktHi Calvin, the article does not mention what is the target FFP in the coming quarters. If you look at the Jan and FEB FFP output it is still below 20K MT. 2023 turn around also due to one off of impairment reversal of 64M so in total 2023 is still not out of wood yet. Although the total plant area is big but only 20,849 ha of the oil palms were in prime mature age cluster (eight to 19 years). RSawit still required to replant the another 17,794ha which has old age plant in coming years. So I wonder how RSAWIT can be considered to be better than JTIASA which is currently net cash, pay dividend and FFP production is 4 times better than RSAWIT plus share base is half of RSAWIT. I guess the main question is still the FFP in the coming quarters.

While Jtiasa got huge Ffb harvest the Huge Pulau Bruits lands are only "rented" to Jtiasa. About 130,000 acres in Pulau Bruit are stated as "rented lands"
For Jtiasa therefore it is more a pure earnings play just like Inno
But for Rsawit it owns all its lands with title deeds and now that palm oil estates are in hot demand Rsawit will stand to reap a golden windfall notwithstanding its Ffb still low
Today Rsawit will conduct EGM to vote for sale of two palm oil estates totalling Rm165 millions There will be a good profit of Rm77 millions translated to a cash profit of 3.77 sen per share And this will be reported by Aug 2024 results Can ask for a "special dividend" if possible

yes since Top holder got more than 60% voting rights the Egm will pass
As for value of Rsawit
I bought Rsawit at around 60 sen in years 2015 to 2017
about the same time I also bought Thplant and Bplant around Rm1.00 to Rm1.10 range and bought Jtiasa around Rm1.20
Both Thplant and Bplant did not move much as they ranged Rm1.10 to Rm1.20. however both gave very good dividends
as for Jtiasa it gave no dividend but share price jumped above Rm1.60 to Rm1.70
Rsawit was a total disappointment which I "cutloss" around 50 sen
Now since Thplant up over 70 sen , Bplant taken private by Ltat at Rm1.55 and Jtiasa has surged back to Rm1.40 I think Rsawit is a laggard that should rise up much higher from here
how high?
I think 60 sen is the target and hopefully it will cross it's all time high above Rm1.00 one fine day
