Gists of the article: Many of their customers from the front end segment have indicated that the semiconductor industry will be seeing a tsunami of orders in 2025. Therefore they are expanding their capacity to cater to their clients growing demand. They are moving towards advanced packaging which essentially involves embedding the integrated circuit into the packaging. In todays context, the development of artificial intelligence chips relies heavily on advanced packaging. Most importantly they are involved in front end semiconductor segment which is where the money is. Though now this segment contributes less than 10% of their revenue, but they are allocating 70% of capex for front end and is expecting front end segment to contribute 30-40% of the group top line. Those who are familiar with semi conductor industry, Front end is rare segment in Malaysia and its lucrative segment.
