Business Background

Eco World Development Group Bhd is a Malaysian property development company. The company has development projects including new townships, integrated commercial developments, luxury high-rise apartments, and green business parks. The company's projects are spread across three economic areas of Malaysia: Klang Valley, Iskandar Malaysia, and Penang. Some of the company's key projects are Eco Grandeur, Eco Ardence, Eco Business Park, and Eco Bloom. The company's business can be divided into revenue generating areas to include the sale of completed properties and other goods, the sale of properties under development, and construction contracts. The company derives a majority of its revenue from the sale of properties.

samyipwl Company performance is acceptable in this QR. Property should be picking up slowly until 2023. If dividend remains at 2c every qtr, I guess is a good buy at this rate even if the gearing ratio is not too convincing. Cheers!

Jonathan Keung Ecoworld in for a long long haul. Don't expect prices to go up with property market overhang. At 55 - 60 sen price range. Worthwhile to buy on dips . Yearly 2 sen dividend pay out seems reasonable

"The National Housing Department DG Datuk Jayaselan Navaratnam said the extension of the Home Ownership Campaign (HOC) is currently pending on the government’s approval.

“We are hoping that the additional 10% discount under the HOC will be available for this carnival and would cushion the rising interest rate and inflationary pressures to provide affordable prices for the people,” Navaratnam told reporters in the same press conference.

• Arising from the impairment of investment and higher share of loss in EcoWorld International, EcoWorld Malaysia recorded a PAT of RM1.8 million in 4Q 2022.
• Notwithstanding the share of EcoWorld International’s losses and the RM81.0 million impairment recognised in 4Q 2022, EcoWorld Malaysia remained profitable in FY2022 with RM157.2 million PAT achieved due to record high PAT of its Malaysian operations.

Just wait for the official announcement on the items and the quantum rate applicable. Nobody knows what exactly MOF is thinking . Is a one million bungalow or a semi detached unit consider as luxury ? Your guess is good as mine
