prudentinvestor RM5 a share is only hypothetical, even RM7 a share is way too low. Keck Seng should be worth RM16 to RM20 a share if all its assets were to be revalued. Too bad, interests of small investors are not well taken care of in this country.
15/02/2023 2:41 PM
speakup rm7
anything higher is bonus
15/02/2023 9:37 PM
prudentinvestor If you buy now at RM3.60 and the directors decide to take Keck Seng private at RM7 a share within the next 10 years, then it is still a very rewarding investment. If the directors decide to privatize it 25 years later at RM7 a share, the opportunity cost is then far too big.
16/02/2023 11:08 AM
speakup Yup shoot down the counter more so u can buy dirt cheap
16/02/2023 12:42 PM
prudentinvestor Do you think you have any chance of success?
16/02/2023 4:54 PM
stockraider They will buy & buy as long as below Rm 5.00 loh!
17/02/2023 8:43 AM
prudentinvestor Less than 140 million Keck Seng shares are in the hands of the public. The company only needs less than RM850 million to buy up all the public shareholding assuming it starts buying now and pays on average RM6 for the shares. So cheap to privatize Keck Seng.
17/02/2023 12:14 PM
speakup LITRAK already privatised. JACKPOT! speakup made rm1/share in LITRAK
18/02/2023 10:56 AM
speakup For "privatisation theme", here are a few counters to look at: MPHBCAP, INSAS, ICAP, KSENG
all cash rich and very deep in value, all waiting for major shareholders to give go ahead
18/02/2023 10:56 AM
prudentinvestor You have left out Facbind. It has a paid up capital of RM85 million, cash of RM151 million, practically debt free and available financial assets for sale at RM40 million. Closed at RM1.17 yesterday.
18/02/2023 10:38 PM
stockraider Remember cash rich business are;

1. keck seng

19/02/2023 2:11 PM
prudentinvestor Still prefer to buy bank stocks which consistently pay high dividends, rain or shine like Maybank.
20/02/2023 3:16 PM
speakup speakup got Cimb & Ambank
Kseng is only a small fraction of speakup holding in Cimb & Ambank
20/02/2023 9:27 PM
prudentinvestor I have no intention to keep Keck Seng any longer. Would consider selling when it reaches RM6 a share and call it a day when it reaches RM8.
21/02/2023 8:08 PM
speakup another 5sen dividend coming?
21/02/2023 10:30 PM
prudentinvestor They should have declared 50 sen a share final dividend instead of just 5 or 6 sen a share. Only people who are devoid of financial knowledge would keep so much money in the banks.
22/02/2023 12:17 PM
prudentinvestor Excluding extraordinary gains, Keck Seng's earnings last year at over RM200 million or 56.65 sen a share was a record high. However record earnings is unlikely to translate into record dividend. I am expecting a final dividend of 6 sen a share. Anything extra is a bonus.

Superdaddy Happy to see Stockraiders in this Kseng forum after so long. One of the best annual results after so long. Cheers!!!

speakup one fine day out of the blue when nobody expects it............ kaboom! suspended......... going private
25/02/2023 1:21 PM
DickyMe Certainly! Without a doubt! Confirm!
25/02/2023 1:38 PM
speakup Just need to sabar
25/02/2023 7:52 PM
prudentinvestor Keck Seng has been paying 10 to 11 sen a share dividend for over 10 years but stopped paying any dividend in 2020 and 2021. Since it has made record profits in 2022, the company should declare a bumper dividend to compensate loyal investors.
25/02/2023 10:31 PM
DickyMe Keep dreaming!
25/02/2023 10:32 PM
prudentinvestor I have no illusion about Keck Seng. That is why I used the word "should", I didn't use "will" or "would".
25/02/2023 11:03 PM
i3lurker those hotels in Hawaii should be 100% full now but thats OUR money and not your money...
26/02/2023 12:02 AM
prudentinvestor There are small investors who are willing to sell Keck Seng shares at a meagre price of RM3.57 a share. It just shows their complete lack of confidence in the company. Incidentally, Keck Seng's net cash and its investments in listed companies are already worth over RM3.80 a share.
28/02/2023 10:35 AM
speakup Tak masuk akal
28/02/2023 9:49 PM
prudentinvestor Some small investors can't afford to wait for the day when the goose starts to lay golden eggs. Good for the company directors. Should they decide to take Keck Seng private one day, they can make a lower offer to small investors.
01/03/2023 10:49 AM
speakup Bstead going privatise at 0.855.

Bstead nta 1.62. Net debt 6.85Bil. Share price 0.655.
Insas nta 3.16. Net cash 789Mil. Share price 0.77
Kseng nta 6.74. Net cash 1Bil. Share price 3.53
Insas & Kseng look juicier for privatisation than Bstead.

Diamond7 Hidden gem....!
Great profits...
Hopefully this year give higher dividen....
And shoot like rocket!!!!
Directors....give us bonus please!
We are all faithful investors!
07/03/2023 7:18 AM
speakup Yesssssss
07/03/2023 7:55 AM
prudentinvestor Keck Seng didn't pay any dividend in 2020 and 2021 amounting to a total of 20 sen. This year's dividend should include the dividends it conveniently failed to pay, making a total of 30 sen I suppose.
07/03/2023 12:13 PM
snowball2000 cash & equivalents plus investment securities (if liquidated) amounted to more than RM4/share. paying RM0.30/share as dividend is well within KSeng's means. Hopefully the major shareholder and BOD would also take care of minority shareholders like us...

07/03/2023 10:45 PM
speakup before MCO, Kseng avg about 4.20
today it is 3.53. it has not recovered to pre-pandemic price level despite all businesses already reopened & back to normal
08/03/2023 7:56 AM
prudentinvestor It shows investors have no confidence in this company. Major shareholders have to do something more proactive like making better use of its vast cash reserve, paying better dividends......
08/03/2023 10:54 AM
speakup Koyak d
Good thing speakup only holding a bit only
10/03/2023 10:46 AM
speakup Hancur
10/03/2023 10:47 AM
prudentinvestor It is slow to react to good news but reacts immediately to bad news. Small investors have no confidence in this company. Sad!
10/03/2023 2:53 PM
prudentinvestor People often say in times of uncertainty, cash is king. This doesn't seem to be true for Keck Seng.
14/03/2023 9:57 PM

16/03/2023 9:51 PM
