Kenanga stays 'overweight' on gaming sector as leisure travel normalises..

It said that over the causeway, the Singapore Tourism Board expects a big jump in visitor arrivals to the island republic of 12 million-14 million this year compared to the 4.7 million recorded last year, underpinned by the return of international tourists, especially those from China.

Kenanga said this should benefit casino operators Genting Bhd : target price [TP]: RM5.86..

Singapore recorded its highest ever number of visitor arrivals (19.12 million) in 2019, before the pandemic hit.

In Aji's case, my mistake was I dare not take the big big move of switching most of Genting or any other non-performing stock to Aji, only bought some with spare cash

Aji was around 13.x when you switched to Genting at probably 4.70+

I agree, border reopen some locals will go overseas
However, the locals will still visit Genting due to ease of travel, albeit could be lesser
China and rest of the world incoming will easily replace and top the loss in local tourists
