Working Experience Datuk Ruzain Bin Idris last served as the Deputy Secretary General (Planning & Development)in the Ministry of Federal Territories prior to his retirement in October 2022.
He began his career in the civil service in 1988 and has served various ministries over the period spanning 34 years including the Ministry of Information, Public Service Department, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Communications and Multimedia amongst others.
Datuk Ruzain specialises in diverse fields which include but not limited to environmental management; spatial and urbanisation management; organisational and human resources management; strategic management planning; risk management and consultation; administrative and financial management as well as project management/development.
He had also served as a member of Perbadanan Putrajaya from 2016 until 2018 and subsequently on boarded as an Executive Committee (EXCO) member of Majlis Tindakan Ekonomi Selangor (EXCO MTES) until 2020 prior to his appointment as a Board Member of BERNAMA until January 2022.
He obtained a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Geography from Universiti Malaya in 1985, followed by a Diploma in Public Administration from Institut Tadbiran Awam Negara (INTAN) in 1987. Thereafter, in year 1994, he completed his Masters in Business Administration (International Business) from University of Birmingham, United Kingdom.
