Working Experience | Datuk Zainun Aishah began her career with Malaysian Industrial Development Authority (“MIDA”), the Malaysian government’s principal agency for the promotion and coordination of industrial development in the country, as an economist upon her graduation from Universiti Malaya with an Honours Degree in Economics.
In her 35 years of service in MIDA, Datuk Zainun Aishah held various key positions in MIDA as well as in some of the country’s strategic council, notably her pivotal role as National Project Director in the formulation of Malaysia’s first Industrial Master Plan. Datuk Zainun Aishah was also involved actively with the formulation of the Second Industrial Master Plan. Datuk Zainun Aishah was the Director-General of MIDA for 9 years and Deputy Director-General for 11 years.
Datuk Zainun Aishah was a member of the Industrial Coordination Act Advisory Council, Defence Industry Council, National Committee on Business Competitiveness Council, Malaysia Incorporated and the National Committee for the Coordination of the Agriculture before retiring in September 2004. |
