Working Experience | Tan Sri Foong was appointed as Judicial Commissioner in 1990 and elevated to be High Court Bench in 1992. He also served as a High Court Judge at Johor Bahru, Shah Alam, Ipoh, and Kuala Lumpur. He was elevated to the Court of Appeal in 2005 and in 2009 elevated to the Federal Court (Malaysia Supreme Court). As a Federal Court Judge, he was made a Managing Judge of the Civil Division of the High Court at Kuala Lumpur and of the High Court and Subordinate Courts of the State of Penang. He retired from the Malaysian Judiciary on 25 February 2012. Prior to his appointment as Judicial Commissioner in 1990, he was engaged in private legal practice in both criminal and civil law, majoring in insurance law from 1971 to 1990. |
