The FBM KLCI (-0.15%) extended its decline to close below its 52-week low as final-hour selling pressure kicked in on several banking and industrial products heavyweights. Market breadth remained negative as the decliners outpaced the advancers by 429-to-364 stocks. The industrial products & services sector (-2.10%) saw a sharp fall, triggered by fears over margin compression on the back of falling commodity prices; PCHEM (-31.0 sen), PMETAL (-24.0 sen), and SCIENTEX (-3.0 sen) were the top decliners.
