The FBM KLCI shed 1.3% to close below the critical 1,600 level following the overnight negative sentiment on Wall Street; selling pressure picked up in selected industrial products & services, plantation, and telecommunication heavyweights. Broader market was broadly in the red, with the plantation sector (-4.12%) being the top losing sector, dragged by SIMEPLT (-32.0 sen), KLK (-126.0 sen), and IOICORP (-19.0 sen), followed by the technology sector (-3.67%). On the other end, the property sector (+2.59%) outperformed the market.
