The FBM KLCI (+0.1%) scored its 7th straight winning session lifted by gains across selected plantation heavyweights following the strong quarterly results from KLK on yesterday evening that offset the impact of rising geopolitical tension between Russia and Ukraine. Market breadth turned positive as the advancers outpaced the decliners on a ratio of 5-to-4. The broader market, however, ended mixed with the plantation sector (+3.9%) leading the winners list, driven by the positive performance from KLK (+RM1.00), GENP (+70.0 sen) and SIMEPLT (+27.0 sen) as the sector peers reacted to the positive earnings delivered by the former.
